CMS Receives Award for Outstanding Community Involvement
Charlestown Middle School Recycling Group has won the award for Outstanding Community Involvement from the Northeast Resource Recovery Association, which serves New Hampshire, Vermont, Massachusetts, Connecticut and Southern Maine.   In the notice of award, Caitlin Meaney stated, "Your group's efforts impressed our nominations committee and we’re thrilled to give them this much deserved recognition."
 
On Tuesday, June 4th teacher, Shawn Brodeur-Stevens, and student representatives from the CMS Recycling Club will attend the Award Ceremony and receive their award. 

 
Fall Mountain Girls Present at Manchester STEM Event
Three Fall Mountain Regional School District students represented Walpole Elementary, Vilas Middle School and Charlestown Middle Schools in Manchester during a Women in STEM event on Monday, May 13, 2012.    They presented their products from a manufacturing unit that was developed in conjunction with Whelen Engineering in Charlestown, NH.

And the Winner Is.....Fall Mountain Regional School District
Through the efforts of the Technology Director, Lynne Phillips, FMRSD has been awarded a $25,000 prize for the next three years for a "Website Makeover"  from Schoolwires.  Check out their website at Schoolwires.com where the award has been announced. 

You may have noticed that additions to our website have been slow recently.  Our new website is under construction behind the scenes.  Our goal is to provide easy access to information for our entire school community including parents and community members.

Graduation for the Class of 2013
The FMRHS Class of 2013 will graduate on  June 8, 2013, beginning at 10 AM.  The Graduation Ceremony will be held in the school gymnasium or on the football field depending on the weather. 

The last day of school for the district's students will be Tuesday, June 18, 2013, pending unforeseen closings due to weather or emergencies.    June 19 will be a teacher inservice day and June 20 a teacher planning day.
